Just curious...what do you think of when you hear the name Tyler?

I've always thought it was a cute name but for some reason when I think of a grown up, I associate the name with a drunk frat boy. We're having a boy and having a heck of a time figuring out what names we like so I'm considering keeping this one on the list.

What associations do you make with the name?

Well, that's my brothers name so I am a little bias, but I think of a 6'4" brilliant engineer... he's a secret mama's boy that loves to go to Disney World.

I like it. It's my cousin's name and he's a cute nice guy. Have always liked that name. Classy, traditional, yet modern sounding.

I babysit a boy named Tyler and I thought the name was so cute. He's now 16 (I feel old!) and they call him Ty. Ty sounds like a rodeo name to me and Tyler sounds a little babyish for him. Then again, I'm probably bias thinking of him still as a baby than as a teen.

Hm, I just think of my cousin. Or this guy my DH used to be roommates with. Either way it doesn't really bring to mind any stereotypes. To me it sounds like the name of an attractive guy or a cute little boy.

I think it's a great name. Reminds me of an old friend from summer camp. We lived in different towns & wrote to each other for years before losing touch. We're friends on FB now & he's a single, hard working dad that loves his little girl to pieces.

that's my brother's dogs name so that is what I first think of...but other than that I know several Tyler's who are good guys...one a marine jet pilot... I have good associations...and my brother's dog is awesome (female though) - anyways that's what I think of but I love the name!
