Starting yesterday I have really really bad static in my hair. I googled ways to make it go away or avoid it but so far it's not working. I've used leave-in conditioner, lotion, biosilk, hair products etc. The min my gloves or scarf hit my hair - POOF - static. It's so annoying.
Anyone have any tips or tricks to avoid static? I am going to try to find a good moisturizing shampoo and conditioner today. Suggestions on brands?
Thanks!

Re: Argggg! Static!! Help...
Once you get wherever you're going -- you can rub a fabric softener sheet on your hair (lightly -- you don't need to grease it up) or bring a spray bottle with water in it that has a few drops of fabric softener in it and mist very lightly. That should take care of it. I prefer the spray bottle myself. You can get a tiny travel bottle at Walmart or a pharmacy. I did this all the time when I was traveling for work up north and it worked like a charm.
Nothing will prevent it after the gloves/scarves touch it -- it's just too dry right now and those things are always going to cause it!

Ditto the spray bottle and fabric sheets.
Also, you can spray unscented hair spray on your gloves and scarf, that should help.

I have 2 different kinds (shampoo and conditioner) in the shower at all times. That way my hair doesn't "tire" of one or another. But I wash my hair everyday.
