My goal is still a year, even though BFing is painful for me. But I'll definitely do 6 months. I'm almost halfway there!
"For a long time there were only your footprints & laughter in our dreams & even from such small things, we knew we could not wait to love you forever."
I plan on nursing in the morning and at night. I am supplementing with formula during the day. I will only pump to keep up my nighttime or morning supply.
I planned to quit at 9 weeks when I went back to work but due to very low supply it just wasn't worth it so I quit after 1 month. (I would not have been able to pump at work since I work in a small retail store and my options for pumping would be a dirty bathroom with no table or anything to put supplies on and a back office with very limited heat and cameras.)
I'm going to try to go the full year. I really don't enjoy pumping, but have a nice private office to do it in, so I can't complain. It's been about a month, and so far, my supply is okay. I have to pump and nurse before heading to work, then pump once or twice at work (schedule permittting). I am ready to burst when I get home though, so I either pump or nurse as soon as I'm in the door.
