Ok, so, um... I just pooped red. I can't recall eating anything with an overabundance of red dye in it in the last few days, and I haven't had any pain (other than regular gas pains and some heartburn) but red poop is usually not a good sign...
Think I should wait a day and see if it's recurring, or call the doctor about it now?
Re: You have been warned: TMI poop question (about me, not DD)

All I know is that red poop in babies = milk protein allergy. Somehow I doubt that's the case here.
DoubleD = useless
All the way through.
Nope.
I'd call the doctor.
ETA: I hope everything is ok!

edit: Oh I forgot to mention, I read this as red blood.... if it's just red like carrots make it orange then idk but bright red blood is for the above... I have problems A & B
i doubt it's a fissure-those are PAINFUL! (like pooping shards of glass painful.)
was there red in the toilet as well? (like when you have a period and you can see the red?) or was it just the poo? i would wait to see if it happens again. 1 time is probably no big deal. if it happens a few times in a row i would call.
No it was definitely red, not orange, though I did have a handful of baby carrots yesterday afternoon - but no more or less than I usually have, and certainly not any amount that would even tint poo orange.
this. GL
No pain at all - and just a bit of red in the toilet.
Soft. not like diarrhea, but I didn't have to strain to get it out.
My vote is fissure. But I'd still call.
Sorry, lurking...
I have Crohn's and it can cause black or red stool. I would recommend making an appt with your doctor. If they send you to a GI doctor, I would request the lower GI/barium enema or colonoscopy (spelling??). Don't get the upper GI done. They make you drink this nasty stuff!! If they do the lower GI or colonoscopy you'll ether have to drink that stuff that cleans you out or don't eat for 2-3 days (that's what I do). I can't drink that crap!!! Good luck!!!
