Hey ladies!
I'm the proud mother of an outside baby now. Born at 35 weeks, Darby Elizabeth joined us on December 30. She's been in the NICU ever since for breathing problems, but she has made some amazing progress in the last two days. We were told today that she may be able to come home in the next two days.
We haven't really been allowed to hold her because of her IVs (I held her for 5 minutes when she was 30 hours old, but DH hasn't held her at all). Tomorrow, her IVs should be removed and we'll get to hold her all we want. Really, she'll be lucky if she learns to walk since we'll never put her down.
As far as the birth went, it was the easiest birth possible (minus the 6 weeks of bedrest due to PTL). I had an epi and laughed and joked during my 6 hour labor.
Here's a video if you're interested in seeing her:
Re: My official introduction

ETA: Just watched your video and she is gorgeous! And such a wiggleworm! So sweet!
What did she weigh??
Welcome!
Thank goodness everything worked out - and she's adorable!
She was 5 pounds 1 ounce and 18 inches long.
I am somewhat thankful that she wasn't full term - I had to have an episiotomy with a preemie! Whaaat? But I love my big headed baby.
I heard you delivered! (In 3rd tri)..so she was like no bedrest will keep me in huh? I'm sooooooo happy to hear that you and baby are doing good as can be expected. And sooooo happy you get to hold her very soon! My bday is Dec. 30! What a special day indeed!
Please keep us posted in 3rd tri about how you are doing!
I LOVE MY THREE KIDS!
