4 couples chipped in and got us a gc to a furniture store we liked. We married in July and closed in Aug and were able to buy our bedroom set with it.

My boss gave us a piece of art (that I picked out). Its a totally personal thing that I would never try to pick for someone but a gc for an art gallery would have done the trick just as nicely.

That, and a gc for a nice restaurant. We went upon returning from our honeymoon, and now we go there every year on our anniversary.

One person gave us a really neat huge mosaic planting pot with a bunch of wine in it. The wine was good and I planted a jasmine plant in the pot.

Other than $... a thing to hang on the wall that said "and they lived happily ever after" I tried to find a pic online, but I couldn't find it. I only found ugly ones.

The two thousand dollars my aunt gave us was the best gift ever....but honestly I really wish someone would have given me a really nice wedding frame for our pictures.

can you think of something they both really like doing together? we love going to the movies or snuggling on the couch and watching them and my bf bought us these cute popcorn bowls, movie theatre gift cards, popcorn, candy, and a bunch of other movie-related things! i liked it because it was really thoughtful and we used EVERYTHING! and even when i just look in my cupboard at those popcorn bowls i think of our wedding day! :] aaaww.

but my other fave gift was a nice bottle of champagne and pretty glasses to be had on our one year anniversary. unfortunately i was at the end of my third tri at that point! but still had a glass Surprise and DH finished the rest
