Re: gimme your best diaper rash cure :)

  • Desitin is the only thing that clears it up for dd.

  • Loading the player...
  • Aquaphor!  Sometimes I'll even put Aquaphor on, then some desitin on top. Works like a charm!
  • I use a warm wet washcloth for diaper changes instead of wipes, then give his tushy time to air dry before applying a liberal dose of Triple Pasta ointment.  I do this for every diaper change.
  • My pedi recommends Destin Original.  DS used to have horrible diaper rash.  Destin has helped tremendously.

When he has a yeast infection going on we use Antifungal cream (Lotrimin) and neosporin per our pedi.  We will also do a bath with 1 TBSP of baking soda.  This helps with a yeast rash on the tushie.

    this.

  • A little bit of nakey time always seems to help Mady.  And then A & D ointment!
  • Air out the goods. Desitin Original. Baby Powder.
  • Also, once you get rid of the diaper rash. One of the nurses in the NICU told us that she put vaseline on her kids bums at each diaper changing and she never had to worry about diaper rash. We have done this a couple times and DD has RARELY gotten a diaper rash.
