Everytime I get out of the shower and I'm getting ready to dry my hair I have to take a second and just sit or lay down because I start getting flushed and a slight headache and dizzy. It feels awful. Anyone relate?
Yep, I feel like this every day when I get out of the shower! I have totally slacked on drying and straightening my hair because I just feel too crappy to stand in the hot bathroom! It sucks!!
i can relate every time i get out i feel like im giong to get sick, i have to take a few minutes and sit down...im contributing it to the fast change in temp from the warm shower to the cooler room air
I feel like this too.. but didn't/don't think its shower related? Maybe it is. I just assumed its because I haven't eaten yet that day.. and my body is weak. Body need food!
I had that problem too. But then learned that I feel that way because I get overheated... not good. So at the end of the shower to make it a "cool" shower to cool off a bit. I also keep the bathroom door cracked open so the steam has a place to leave. That really helped me out and I rarely feel crappy after a shower now.
Try taking a little bit cooler showers. Also, go ahead and sit or lay down for a while - no need to faint in the bathroom with all those hard surfaces.
K good I'm glad I'm not the only one. I feel like I'm gonna get sick too and I almost feel weak. I even ate before I got in the shower so idk.. Thanks for the replies
I get exactly this also but I this happened to me before I was pregnant too. For me it's due to a low bp accompanied by dehydration and a lack of enough calories. So if you're taking showers early in the morning before you've had a chance to eat or drink anything then it's easy to do. I actually had passed out one time and my husband freaked out and called 911 (pre-baby). But anyway, long expensive story short, I was told to really work on keeping myself hydrated b/c my bp is hypersensitive to my hydration. And apparently showers are a "prime spot" for passing out, so try to eat and drink something before you get in that shower!
I'm so glad you asked this, b/c it has scared the crap out of me the last few days. I feel like my blood pressure is almost on the floor and I'm super dizzy. Maybe it's a shower temp issue? I'm going to start turning it down...

I had this happen pre-baby and it's gotten worse now that I'm pg, to the point that DH won't let me shower unless he's in our bedroom so that if I get faint or pass out he's close by. I've found that the following things help: 1) Leave the bathroom door open or at least cracked 2) Alternate between really warm water and cooler water. I like HOT showers, so every few minutes I'll turn the temp down to cool off a little and I do the same thing before I get ready to get out. 3) Take a few minutes to relax after you get out. I usually just put my robe on and sit on the bed fo 5 or 10 before I venture back in to do my hair. It helps cool off my body and gives the bathroom time to really cool down.
Oh not me. My shower is my favorite part of the whole day. It's the only time I feel good! Sometimes after I'm "washed" I just sit in the bottom of the shower with the water running on my head becaues I feel so relaxed in there.
I almost passed out in the shower this morning, I can't believe my luck you posted this today! I started seeing spots and my hearing was fading. Then I started having that weird muscle control, shaking feeling and my knees went weak. I turned off the shower and tried to dry off quickly so I could get out and sit down, but halfway through drying I just had to sit in the bottom of the shower for about 3-4 minutes. Then when I stood back up and got out, I had to sit on the edge of the tub for another few minutes before I could do anything. I felt like I was overheated but today was my first workday in 10 days, so my energy level was very low having to get up early again so I'm not sure which it was. It was very scary. I didn't think I would get sat down before I just fell down.

Yes! I get shaky and hearing fades I swear I'm about to fall over. It wasn't like this before this pregnancy but from now on I'm gonna air out the bathroom and take cooler showers
Re: Does anyone else feel like absolute crap after a shower??
I have experienced this. You're overheating.

I also put a fan in there.
