Pregnant after a Loss

Those who stopped progesterone at 12w

Did everything turn out ok? I'm so scared to stop taking it...I know you can't "help" the placenta, but I've just tapered down from 2x a day to 1x a day, and in 2 weeks, I totally stop my prog suppositories and am scared.

Pls make me feel better.  Scared 2

  • Everything is looking good for me also.
  • My RE made me stop progesterone at 9 weeks when he confirmed the placenta on u/s with my first.

    I was TERRIFIED.

If I could have found a dealer on the street to sell it to me illegally I would have bought it behind my doctor's backs.  That's how scared I was.

He's now 3.5 and totally healthy.

You really don't need it anymore and may find that you feel better once you're off it!

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
  • Thanks ladies! can't wait to just be further along.

  • My situation was a bit different, as I was on the progesterone injections, due to IVF, but never the less I was scared $hitless to stop them because I was afraid of negative impact.... I was doing them up until 12 weeks.  Actually, my RE told me to stop at 10 weeks and I continued on until I finished my supply.  Everything turned out fine for me :)
