Gripe water and Poo....

Good Morning,

We gave DD gripe water on Friday night and it helped her sleep so much better!! My only concern is that she didn't have a BM for 24 hours. She is 6 weeks old and I know sometimes bms change at this age and it's not atypical for a bf baby to go a couple of days without poo but for her this was unusual....

SO my question is, has anyone had trouble with gripe water and poo? or is it just a colossal coincidence that she had gripe water and no poo... she's had a couple since friday but not with the regularity and zeal she did before....

    gripe water doesn't make you poo, it helps ease teh tummy...deluded juice like apple, pear or prune juice helps a baby to poo...g/l

    no issues like that w/ either of my DDs. My guess is that it was probably a coincidence, based on what ingredients are in there. I don't think any of those would make a difference w/ poop.
