Water broke naturally. Wasn't progressing so they started pitocin. Got an epi at 3 cm (IMO, too early but I WAS in a lot of pain) and had pitocin the entire time. Baby born 19 hours after my water broke. Ugh.
After 20 hrs of labor and zero progress, I ended up with a C-section (baby was face-up). But during my 2 hours of pushing, I did have an epidural. (We let it run out and I pushed for an hour without an epidural and WOW did it hurt!!)

I was induced three days before my due date because they kept claiming my DD was going to be HUGE! After that I labored with no pain meds etc. She obviously was not ready to come out and was sunny side up. Ended up with a C-section (only with an epidural not a spinal) because my midwife got her to turn half way and she was stuck sideways in the birth canal! I was not happy because it was so not what I wanted at all! And after all of that she was only 7 lbs 8 ozs, they claimed she was going to be at least 9 lbs!

For all of you that had c/s with a face up baby, is that WHY they did a c/s? I'm just wondering, cause DD was face up & I was able to have her without a c/s, no problems (other than 2 hours pushing!).
I had an epi and an episiotomy. other than that nothing...in fact I never even got checked prior to going into labor at 39 weeks. my midwife told me that for first time mom's dilation does not mean much. the hospital was really confused on the phone when I called to say my water broke but I didn;t know my progress.
Re: pregnancy intervention...
Water broke but wasn't progress so I had to have pitocin, but that's all I had.
Hopefully this time I will get to go COMPLETELY natural and have absolutely nothing, I'm hoping to not even get the IV port.
induced with cytotec, membranes stripped. had to go for the epi.
the complete opposite of the birth i wanted.
