ear piercing? Did you do it and at what age? WIll you do it and at what age? Why will you not do it?

    It will only happen when DD asks to do it and she's capable of taking care of it herself.  I don't plan on doing it now because I don't see the point in doing it.  What does a baby really need with ear piercing?

    I'm not a fan of doing it to babies.  I think it looks too "grown up."

    It seems like the popular opinion on the bump is to wait until the child asks for them but that is not how I feel. I am planning on getting hers done in the next few weeks. Everyone I know IRL gets them done as babies and its never a problem. I have never heard of a girl getting mad at their mom for making them pierce their ears early as a baby and not having a choice.

    First, sweet moves.

    Secondly, when DD asks I will take her to get them done. She's adorable enough as it and I'd like to delay the beauty/pain thing as long as possible.

    I'll be getting DD done.  I had mine done by my grandmother when I was like two days old (of course I won't do this to DD).  But I have to say that I very rarely wear earrings but am glad I have them pierced.

    all the little girls I know have them done. I like them but am still up in the air about it. I feel like she is already perfect and I dont want to do them and hate them.

    BTW you should really see me in action.

    I'll wait until she's older.  I remember getting mine done at 5 or 6 and my mom made a really big deal about it.

    We'll be waiting until she asks for them, and we'll use it as an oppertunity to learn responsibility by take care of them herself.
