Kate has gone to bed without a fight for months and slept 12 hours without waking up. I put her down tonight and she creamed her head off. For an hour! Everything the same. Gave her some tylenol b/c I thought she might be teething, which made no difference. No fever, doesn't seem like she has an ear infection (she's had several, this was different). She was fine when I picked her up, but the second I put her down, screams.
After 1+ hour, I finially let her fall asleep in my arms then put her in her crib. I don't think she'll stay asleep. Any ideas!?!
Re: What the hell happened here?
No ideas, but my DS has done the same thing the last few nights. I finally busted out the old trick of running the vacuum last night to help chill him out (which it did) and he fell asleep to that last night. (Although when he was screaming his head off, I joined him in the crying!)
Tonight I just put him down and he is in his crib starring at his aquarium and hasn't made a peep yet.
These babies like to throw us for loops don't they?!
We are dealing with the same thing, only DS also wakes up a bajillion times a night. When he does he wants nothing but me. No food, no pacifier, not hot/cold, just to be held. Normally this would make me feel all warm and lovey but not at 2am for the third time that night already.
?
I feel your pain. If you find a solution let me know please. ?
Ella was doing this also..It was driving me nuts! But it went on for about 4 days and ended.
I think our babies just want to be close to us!
I've had the same issue with LO, he wakes up with a painful cry, but as soon as he is being held the tears go away. As soon as we lay him back down he freaks out. I started rocking him but this was becoming a nightly thing. So now I check that he's ok, diaper,no fever etc and then put him down, he will scream sometimes up to 2 hours, but most of the time he's out in half hour. I go in every 10 minutes try to reassure him and then leave again.
I feel your pain, all you want to do is pick them up, and cry along with them. Hopefully it's just a phase.
