teething

When did your LO start teething? How long did they teeth before they got a tooth? Did they have sleeping problems during this time? What did you do for your LO if they were miserable?

Aidan was up every hour till 12 last night and then every 2 hours. I could not comfort him and he wouldn't take his bottle. I think he is teething and if he is I wish this tooth would come in. He will be 5 months on the 10th. Does this sound like teething? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I swear it seemed like k had teething symptoms for months before she got her first two teeth at almost 7 months. Right now she is getting the top four all at once. THAT is fun. All I can recommend is baby orajel, putting an ice cube in one of those mesh teether rings, and maybe some Tylenol at bedtime. Teething this time around is not nearly as bad as with her first teeth for some reason.

My LO has been teething for months and has not gotten a tooth yet. My pedi recommends Motrin (or Tylenol since your LO is not yet 6 mo) and/or rubbing gums with a tiny amount of liquid children's benadryl (as a safer alternative to orajel).

Thanks. I gave him tylenol last night. I will have to try the liquid benadryl.

Allie got her two bottom teeth at four months (she actually went her 4 month appointment with both teeth and my pedi said that was really early!) SO, I would say that it could be possible! We use Orajel and it works best. We also use Tylenol and teething tablets.
