Not sure where to post this...

...but I have a question...I am a 35 year old mom of 2 (a son 13 and a daughter 10), they live with their Dad...I had my tubes tied after the birth of my daughter. I now have a new man who wants more kids...I am ok with that but am unsure if it is better to have my tubes untied or to do the invitro thing, doctor says it is possible to untie but is it the right thing to do??? Anyone been in this situation that could give me some advice and maybe the pros and cons???

Re: Not sure where to post this...

  • I'm sorry, I haven't been in this position, so I'm not speaking from experience but rather of opinion only. If it was me, I would try to go with untying my tubes first, as it seems like a lot of ladies on here trying IV have a long process. But if they tubes didn't work, then I would try IV. I'm not sure, is IVF covered under provincial health care? or Blue Cross (or whichever you use)? If it wasn't and it was expensive, I would definitely consider that a factor in my decision. Whatever you choose, all the best to you!
