I took Jackson in with me today. My husband handed him to me and then took him once he was finished. I was a little worried that he would be too slippery, but he loved being in there, he kept biting at the water like a dog, it was so funny.
I am not sure that I would do this often because he WAS slippery and it was def nerve wracking, but it is nice to have a quick bathing alternative rather than having to fill up the tub and give him a bath.
Re: Do you shower with your baby?
In my bag: Canon 60D, 50mm 1.4, Tamron 28-75 2.8, 430exii
I have at some point jumped in there with DS but I don't do it regularly. I personally don't do it because they are too squirmy and slippery AND since I EP, and am large breasted, it is difficult to hold LO without them accidentally touching my nipples and they are so super sensitive right now that it ends up being uncomfortable.
sometimes it's the only thing that will calm him down.
so yes, I've done it. to calm him down enough to eat.
the hard part is, it's freezing when he gets out. so he starts screaming again. so it's only a reprieve while we're in there.
omg, we are still sponge bathing our lo at 6 weeks! he hates it!
we've only used his baby tub once but will be using it more.
as far as showering is concerned, my baby is verrrry active and squirmy and it would make me way to nervous to do this with him and I'm still not sure how he handles full water yet because as I said, he's sponge bathed.
However, I like the idea when he is older, let's say 4/6 month age and I don't have to worry about holding his head or the degree of water hitting him from the shower head.
so I may do this later down the road but not just yet. too nail-biting for me.

We do pretty frequently, at least we have while DH has been on vacation. We've done all 3 of us in there or just one of us with him. It does make me nervous to be the only one in there with him, apparently it makes DH nervous too because he watches me like a hawk and will keep opening the door to "help."
It is pretty convenient though to not have to mess with the baby bath. Cole loves the water so he doesn't care either way.
