  I like the age difference between my 5 year and our 10month old. My 5 year old can help out alot!

  My DH and I talked alot about it and thought it would be nice to have them closer this time!

  Most of the women on here will say they LOVE it!

  I cant wait!!!

  I love that mine are only 17 months apart especially now that DD is a little older. I love watching them play together and they are so close(now anyway). PP mentioned the older one being helpful at 5 and my DS is helpful even at 2 years. He has always loved to help with his sister. 

  I have a sister who is 15 months younger than me and a bro that is 3.5 years younger than me and we are all close now and were even as teens so I am hoping mine will be close too.
  

  I will admit though that the first few months were pretty rough. I think it was worse for us because DD was colicky. Lack of sleep, finding a routine, trying to figure out how to take both of them out by myself were the hardest parts for me.

  I obviously can't really say yet, since we've not had #2, but I can tell you from my mom's experience. My two youngest sisters are 17 months apart, and at 11 and 13 currently, they are like twins! The definitely have different personalities and all that, but they still share a room, play mostly with each other, and are great buddies! The even have about the same group of friends, with a few extra people on either side. Being that close has really been good for them, and definitely blessed my mom.

  My mom did it both ways (had kids 4 years, 6 years, 9 years, and then 17 months apart), and she always told me to go ahead and have them close. She said it was harder to start with, but so great once you get over the first bit.
