Clearing dry stuffy nose = nose bleeds. :(

I posted about this yesterday...Cal's had a nose full of dry, bloody boogers for several days now.  Since he doesn't seem ill, I guess it's just the dry air, even though we run humidifiers all day/night to help prevent it.  He's so stuffy at night in particular and we have used the bulb syringe to clear his nose, but then it runs afterward and is mixed with blood.  :(  I guess some of what we clear out is scabs, causing more bleeding.  I hate it but he's so stuffy I feel like we must clear it for him.  Other than that we're just trying to keep the house as humid as possible.  I hope we're doing the right thing...anyone else deal with this?
Childhood cancer (DH) + chemo + radiation = 0 sperm.
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).

    I personally do- caused me to wakeup with nosebleeds.  And it has been horrible lately.  Dr says it is from dry, heated air.  Sleep with a humidifier (warm is best) use saline nasal drops, and you can also coat a qtip in vaseline and swab it around up there to help moisturize.

    Ditto this - my little bro has trouble with his nose/nosebleeds because he's on Accutane - apparently it dries your whole body up.. not just skin - anyway, this is what his ENT said to do at night.

    I have this same trouble.  I hear neti pots help, but not sure you can do that with a child?  GL to you, I do like the vaseline idea.
