I've been miserably sick for the last 2 days, and Ali has had a cold, too. DH has been a rockstar at taking care of both of us, and letting me nap during the day when I'm not nursing. His brother got tickets for the UT basketball game today, and they've been planning on going together for about a week. He asked me today if he should cancel because I'm still sick, but I told him to go because I felt like he deserved a break. The game started at 3:30. He promised he'd be home no later than 6.
He just (5:35 p.m.) texted to say there are 3 minutes left in the game. He obviously will not be home by 6 as he promised.
So...

Re: How hard a time should I give DH? (clicky poll)
If he'd texted you to say "game ended an hour ago, went to bar for beers" ... then I'd be semi-pissed. Since he's still at the game and it's really not his fault it's running long, and you really couldn't expect the guy to leave before the ending, I'd let it go. But I would expect him to pick you up something yummy to eat on his way home.
Feel better soon!

Yes, this! DH knows there is a standing order for the brownies from Randall's anytime he's out late or something similar
ooooh, I like the sound of that! Totally unrelated, but I see the seahorse in your siggy pic--do you love it as much as everyone else? I've heard nothing but raves, but I just can't imagine how that little toy will help DD learn to go to sleep on her own...
Taytee wants to hear about toys that make newborns sleep! Emily doesn't appear to like the Lionheart Slumber Bear like Abby did.
me too, me too!!!
So, I'm coming into this very late....I voted no hard time at all, but there should have been one more option. Give him a hard time because he promised, but completely joking because he has been a rockstar taking care of you guys while you are sick
I do like it - but mostly because I think it's adorable. It doesn't seem to do anything to make him sleep unfortunately. I think maybe when he's a little older? For Leo we had this musical sea turtle thing that hooked to his crib and that seemed to be a nice transition between awake and asleep for him. Hopefully this will be the same kind of thing for Charlie
