A friend of mine told me an awful story today. He was at Chili's with a few of his buddies and in the parking lot they saw a baby in a car... Alone. The mother was nowhere in sight. So they went inside and found her clear on the opposite side of the restaurant! She was parked in the curbside to go spot... WTF?! He said one of his friends went all crazy on her about how wrong it is and she didn't think it was a big deal. How do people like this get to have kids?!

    I've called the cops on that before.  It was -30 outside.  I dont care if you are just 'running in, running out' thats your effin kid you are leaving in the car.

    This lady who once taught 'Profesionalism in the workplace' at my university left her two two-year old twins in her car for an hour.  She was telling us how if you are dropping off resume's you should still dress nice, becuse you never know if they'll ask you to stay for an interview on the spot.  which is what happened to her.  And she didn't tell them "no, i have two kids in the car", she stayed and did the interview Indifferent

    There are absolutely laws on that. You can be arrested and charged with child endangerment and have your child possibly taken away. Awful.

    That is not right. I would have called the cops too!

    There are laws regarding this particular situation in 16 states, but AZ is not one of them (although they do have legislation pending on the subject). I am sure there are other laws that would cover this like child endangerment, etc.

    shockingly enough depending on where you live its not the hefty crime you would expect it to be.  I will tell you in Virginia Beach its a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor...if you can believe that.  I have seen children in worse situations alone and it was a slap on the hand.  Makes no sense at all!!!

    Unfreakingbelievable. AZ is pretty ridiculous if I do say so myself as far as laws go. It's illegal to put your dog in the back of a pickup without it being tied down... But you can put your kids in there no problem! I guess we're too worried about illegals to worry about kids... Messed up! I would have definitely called the cops too! I just can't believe this woman didn't even care! As for the chick who left her kids in the car during her interview, that's also ridic! Some people make me want to scream
