Creative mommies, what are some cool ideas for a baby shower?

Anything will help! I'm throwing my good friend a shower in March/April and just wondered if any of you had some great decor ideas, fun activities for guests to do (but no games) delicious recipes, and some take home favors that are easy on the wallet and DIY. I have a couple ideas, and have gone on baby center website for more ideas, but just curious what you all thought was a hit at the last baby shower you threw or attended? Thanks!

    IMO, the best baby shower comes from spending money on elegant food with no tacky decorations or stupid favors or games that nobody likes or wants anyway.
