Has anyone ever done a quick out of state trip with DC?

We are contemplating going to Utah for DH's sister's wedding reception.  It would be a whirlwind of a weekend (basically leaving Friday and coming back Sunday).  Am I crazy to be considering this?   Have you ever done anything similar with your DC?  How did it go?

    We did....Ryan was a little over a year I think.  It was a whirlwind but he did great!
    Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

    Not out of state but we flew to LA for the weekend when he was 6 months old.  It went fine - really as good as you would expect.  He did great on the plane (we also just went to MN and he did nicely on that flight as well).  I think the hardest part is getting them used to sleeping in a different crib for such a short amount of time.  I say go for it and have a good time.
