Does your toddler sleep under the covers or on top?

in their big kid bed? Also do they sleep the correct way in their bed. We are on night #2 of the big kid bed and I am just going with the flow but DS doesn't want to sleep under the covers and he also sleeps te wrong way. I don't mean his head is where is feet should be I mean his head is up aganist the safety rail we put on the bed to keep him from falling out.

  • When i put him to bed or check on him, I make sure he is covered. But he is just like his daddy and does not want to sleep with covers.

  • Like a burrito in his covers, just like his mommy.

  • When we first moved Carter he slept sideways a lot.  He also almost never slept under the covers.  Most of the time he sleeps the correct way now, but doesn't sleep with all the covers on him, he just kicks them all off.  We usually just use a baby blanket instead to cover him up.

  • He sleeps in his big boy bed just like he slept in his crib -- under the covers and he doesn't move very much...
  • DS is all wrapped in the cover, I check on him in the middle of the night, I always have to fic the covers ( he sleeps wih 3 of them), I remove 2, and leave him with one, and I also fix him in the right position too.
  • DS sleeps with his covers on the very edge of the bed.  He has a full size bed, and sleeps as close to the edge as he can without falling off.

  • Ds sleeps under the covers with his head on the pillow. He doesn't move around too much although today he had his head on the other pillow when I got him from his nap. He sleeps in a full size bed.
  • DD just has a fitted sheet on her bed because she doesn't like the covers, either. She sleeps with two little "lovey" blankets but they're not for warmth and they rarely cover her.

She is all over the bed when she sleeps, and often sleeps perpedicular to how you should sleep in a bed, so I assume she'll have a rail for a long time.

  • DS refuses to use the covers. He sleeps on top of the made bed.  He has gone under the covers once or twice, but laughs and crawls out before he goes to sleep.  He sleeps the right way on the pillow, but he crunches his bottom half between the bed and the safety rail.  The rail will be there for a while. :(

  • He starts under the covers but usually ends up out of them. He tends to get warm and he's wiggly.  We never used a rail, but his bed is in a corner. He pretty much sleeps the "right" way, but will occasionally bend around. He fell out the first night once, but has been OK ever since.

  • DD sleeps under the covers mostly but she ends up sideways a lot.  Usually then the blanket is off so I try and cover her back up.
