K, I lied. She won't be 2 days old until tonight. Wink

How was everyone's New Years? Anything new and exciting going on?

    New year's was pleasantly uneventful....unlike yours!  So happy you got to hold Darby!  That made my heart melt!

    I have not posted it yet. I am bumping from my phone because my mean DH thinks I can live without my laptop until we get home. I'll post it this weekend though! I get discharged today. Darby is still in the NICU. We'll know how she's doing early this evening. She had to be put on a breathing machine last night, but she should be off of it this afternoon.

    I am doing pretty well. Recovery has its good and bad moments, but it is all worth it.

    Congrats again (I posted super late to your initial post about Darby).  If you are able or chose to breastfeed: how is that working out - has your milk come in?  Does it hurt? Hope all is well with you and the new addition!

    She's still struggling, but she'll be okay. I have not uploaded photos yet, but I will try tomorrow. I don't make them ugly, that's for sure!

    So far, I am exclusively pumping. Darby has been on oxygen and IV fluids since birth, making it impossible to feed her, let alone bf her. My colostrum is slowly but surely coming in. It can take 3 days for a good flow to come in (probably not as long as if I were actually bfing and/or had her with me). I only get a few tiny droplets as of right now, but they save everything and they will give it to her when she is able to eat. It didn't hurt at all when I first started. Now, it smarts a bit when I first start up. I pump every two hours during the day and once at night. Speaking of which, I'll be back in 20 minutes. I needs to milk muhself.

    I can't believe she is already 2 days old!  I can't wait to see more pics, but for now I am back in the freaking hospital.  My fluid was down to 4cm at my NST today.  So I am stuck with the blocked internet BS again.

    If my fluid isn't doubled by tomorrow, Marlowe will be making her arrival...and they will have such close birthdays!  I hope Darby is doing awesome and getting stronger with each day!  congrats to you guys again!!!

    You are?! I'll be posting a birth story and pictures this weekend. I'll make sure you see them! If Marlowe comes early, her and Darby can be NICU Buddies! Good luck! Keep me posted!

    I told Rusty on We'd afternoon that nothing has gone the way I expected during this pregnancy, and for that reason alone, Darby would be a girl. I was right about being wrong! Don't be sad. Baby Don has a girlfriend now. I hope he likes older women!
