I am ok with you rating my post one start, that is fine. I am glad to know you need your little self statisfaction. Rating my post about a father/husband dying is disgusting. You need to find something better to do with your time and passavie agressive bullsh!t. You can keep that sh!t on your real boards. I am failing to see why coming here after months of peacefulness is amusing to you. You can now go fukc yourself.

I feel embarassed asking this but can someone explain the whole star rating thing to me? I have been here long enough and should know what it means but I don't and always get confused when people talk about it.

It really means nothing. I never use it. Apparently the nest thought they would be cool to add. Instead it causes more drama and PABS, than anything. Cowards who are afraid to come out and say they dislike someone come on and rate their post one star. It seems Rachel and i are the target this week. (long back drama that I am not going to explain, because it is old and I have moved on)
You can click on the stars of apost and make your own rating. All in all, its pretty meaningless.
But, the fact that someone would one star a post about a tragic event is kinds sick.
Thanks for the explanation. That is pretty frigin sad that someone would do that to the earlier post about that impossible tragedy that that poor family is dealing with.

You are very right. The whole rating thing is rather amusing on most of my post. When you stoop low enough to rate a post about a deceased man, is hitting to far below the belt. I hope they get their sick statisfaction out of it and a touch of karma while they are at it.
It seems like they always make sure to rate sad/tragic posts especially.

Not that it was me, but maybe they thought they'd 1 star it because it was bad news? To me, the one starring to be a *** is like one starring bfp posts or 5 starring a post about a m/c.
Either way, you nailed it when you said it didn't really matter because if they are doing it, they are doing it to be a ***. Pointing it out is just making them happy.
I remember the days when you could find out who was one-starring posts. Those days were nice.

Seriously? Has it occurred to you that the bump may automatically default to a one-star rating when you post? WhoTF would rate that a one-star? Personally, I don't know anyone callous and evil enough to do that unless it was for the reason the pps said - maybe they did it b/c it was a tragic situation. Not b/c they didn't like you/it.

This is what I hope. There was an update on a nestie on MM who has been battling cancer and it got one-starred. I don't really care about the whole star thing, but that pissed me off.
I really don't get the whole star/no star here or like button on fb. But, would it make you feel better if the post got 5 stars? It's too black and white to read too much into.
