I had been in serious pain for a while, so I knew it was coming. I was at the point where the only thing that was bearable at all was sitting on the toilet (to remove the pelvic pressure)... and POP! Such a good feeling!

Mine broke in the jacuzzi tub at the hospital (had been at the hospital in active labor for about 4 hrs & had labored at home for almost 12 hrs) - I had the biggest contraction and felt a huge POP. I had my baby an hour & 45 min later.

I was 5 days overdue and had been walking like a maniac trying to get things going. I had zero signs of anything happening. It broke when I was unlocking my front door after getting home from the mall.

Mine happened totally out of the blue, 1 month before LO EDD. It was the day after Thanksgiving, so I was home. I went to lie down for a nap and about 5 minutes later I was gushing. Never saw it coming.

Mine broke at home. I had taken the day off work since I just felt "off" and then I woke up from my nap and GUSH! No contractions, no anything leading up to it. In fact I didn't have any contractions until they put me on pitocin at the hospital.

I was 41 weeks 3 days had been having back pain for a couple of days...woke up in the morning and felt some trickling but didn't really think it was my water breaking...then it kind of stopped. Went to talk to my DH who was still sleeping and right there on our rug it broke. It stained the rug...my mom had to clean it before I got home

Mine broke 2 days after EDD while I was shopping with my Aunt. It was completely out of the blue and I had no symptoms at all that day. I had been having BH contractions for over a month, but other than that no clues at all. It was a pretty big gush and then it moved down my leg, and then there was another gush. I scampered out of the store trying to walk with my legs closed and then called the hospital and drove home to take a shower before going to the hospital (best decision ever!). As soon as I got to the hospital the put me on pitocin and told me I would have a baby within 24 hours.

It officially broken in the bathroom at 5:00 am. I had just stood up from going to the bathroom and it mini-gushed onto the floor. Felt minor contractions after that. May have been having them before my water broke, but I was sleeping, so who knows.

I had a much bigger gush zt 9:45 am when I was on my way out the door to the OB to confirm it broke and that I was in fact in labor (I had no doubt - duh! ha). I had to go back to the bedroom and change my pants before I could leave. ;-)

I woke up at 1:30am for a bathroom trip and when I went back to bed, I felt a little trickling. Thought it was weird and got up, the second I stood up, I gushed all over. I was 2 1/2 weeks early, with no contractions or BH at all until my water broke. Good luck!

Mine broke both times. With DD#1 it broke in a gush not long after I went to sleep around 11pm. I had a feeling it would break because both of my sisters' water broke with their first kids, so I had put a plastic sheet on my bed

The second time, it started leaking in bed- around the same time of night- and I actually thought I had peed myself. Which wouldn't have been a stretch at that point in my pg. I had put the plastic sheet on again, of course, after my first experience. It took me getting up & down a few times before I figured out it was actually my water.

Mine broke the day before my EDD. I had just laid down on the couch and got up to use the bathroom. I was two steps away and felt the gush. I was taken out of work the week before for blood pressure issues. I am so thankful I was at home.

I felt a couple of small gushes while I was sleeping (around 4am), but was too sleepy to do anything about it. When I woke up around 6am, I felt another one. I wasn't sure if it was really my water breaking, but when I got checked by the doctor around 11am, he said that it was.

I'd just gotten in bed and was feeling like my contractions were getting stronger and then the pop and my water broke.

I too was working in a hospital once/week and was hoping it didn't happen while at work. Of course I worked in L&D so it wouldn't have mattered too much lol!! Luckily it happened in the early morning before I went to work.

I was home, thank goodness. I was napping on the couch next to DH, woke up just before midnight, and said "I think my water is going to break" and then it did about a minute later. It was the weirdest thing, I just knew it was coming, and was luckily able to hop off the couch and waddle my way to the bathroom before it happened.

During sexy time.. I took a nap right after, went to dinner when I woke from my nap, and finally rolled into L&D about 6 hours afterward. Didn't start having strong contrax until about 8 hours after it broke.
