We do... Today is the 3rd annual "Chili" party at our house. DH makes a huge pot of homemade "secret"recipe chili... and we have friends over to watch whatever football is on. This year he is making cornbread in a cast iron skillet. It is sure to be good... I just have to get my act together and get dressed and help clean up from last night...
Re: Do you have a New Years Day tradition....
Chili and cornbread sounds amazing.
No tradition here for NY day, but I'd like to participate in yours - the football (not a football fan lol)

Growing up, we always watched the Rose Parade on both channels it's on because we might've missed something. HA! And then my mom always made the classic NY day meal: pork chops, cabbage, and black-eyed peas.
I was going to make it this year for a our first NY married, but DH has to work. He had to get up at 5 and be at work by 6:30. I'll probably just go over to parents to have it this year.

Yeah... I could do without the football too... I would not be sad if I never had to watch any ever again!!!
Watching the Rose Bowl parade and taking down the tree.
About every other year we visit H's parents for New Year's and go the parade in person since they live in the Pasadena area.

Sounds like fun...and I love chili!!
No traditions here. I actually got up early and got my dinner in the crock pot...southwest chicken...yummy. DH is starting a fire as I type and we are going to hang out and read for a bit. I am sure at some point football will be on the TV...Enjoy your party!
