RSV... Happy New Year to us =(
Blah... Our New Year's Evewas spent at the
pediatric after hours clinic. Sarah is positive for RSV. =(Ironically,
she may have picked it up at The pedi office when we took her inMonday
(she has been sick since Christmas Day).
Bad news is that there are nomiracle antibiotics in our future. Good news is that she responded well to thebreathing treatment, so we are now doing the nebulizer every 4 hours here athome. At least her appetite is slowly coming back now that she can breathe!
So question for those of you who have had to deal with RSV... How long did you keep your LO out of daycare? She hasn't been since the Tuesday before Christmas and I am wondering how long to keep her home. I am thinking at least until her fever is gone and she is eating/drinking normally again - but the doctor said they can be contagious for up to 3 weeks!!!
