I noticed that two more things had been bought so I checked what they are. It looks like I'm going to end up with 2 diaper bags that I didnt register for, but somehow ended up on my registry. And, they are much too small for twins. I hope there are receipts involved.

Re: Strange things happening at Target registry
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
You know, I had some weird stuff like that happen for my wedding shower...but the gifts never appeared. I'm guessing it was more of a system mixup? Someone else had my name or something? I wonder if that's happening for you?
If you registered for something, still have the tags, but not the receipt, you'd think you could return it. I know Target's return policy keeps changing though.

MAYBE (and I really have no idea.....) someone bought those bags, they weren't on your registry, but since they were buying it for you and they HAD your registry...uh, somehow they put them on there to let you know they were purchased for you?

Its a very good thing they scanned the registry when they bought them. My target's policy (and I think the target policy generally) is that you can return an item easily (without a receipt) SO LONG AS it is on your registry "gift log"--a sheet that you can print out showing items on your registry. What seems to have happened here: when they bought it and had them scan the registry, it actually went onto your registry. That happens at alot of stores--it happens at Bed Bath and Beyond too, like when you buy something that isn't on the registry along with the registry item and they scan the registry.
We had things at the wedding that were not on our registry anymore but were on the "gift log" because someone purchased them (it was from my scewing around with the registry after they bought it) and it was really easy to return.
GL!
This explains how diapers got on my wedding registry.
This. I hate returning things at Target.
Yep, that happens if they purchase something not on registry, but give the cashier your registry to scan.
Also, to the pp that didn't receive things, this happens no matter what, if they buy things for themselves while they buy things off your registry. If it's something baby related (or house/wedding related) it goes on there if they scanned your registry,
This is also why I purchase my things separately when buying things for a registry.
This - someone at Bed, Bath and Beyond added a greeting card to my registry - it helps with returns (at least there)
I bet they bought that in the same transaction as the items they bought off of your registry and it got added. lol.
