ELO revival

Perhaps some of you are old enough to appreciate this. I have rediscovered ELO. I'm not kidding. They are like the Muppets of music for me. How can you listen to "It's a Livin' Thing" and not freaking smile? Or "Do Ya" ... it's like the happiest song on the planet.

And in Xanadu there's all the roller skating - that movie inspired me to ask for nothing but sparkly leg warmers for Christmas. I wore them to Rocky's Roller Skating Rink on Saturdays. Dang.

Re: ELO revival

  • I love, love, love Xanadu.

Today I rediscovered Alanis M's Jagged Little Pill.  I listened to it all day.

  • ELO was a greatly underappreciated band.

Mr. Blue Sky, Sweet Talkin' Woman, Turn to Stone, and of course, Don't Bring Me Down..... now that's music to sing loudly in the car!

  • Xanadu... Xanaduuuuuuu-oooh-oooh

LOVE that movie. Soooo cheesy.  But Gene Kelly is in it and I love him.

And I loved the roller rink.   And the Muppets. I'm a Muppet nut, actually.
