Blister help

I have a newly formed blister on my nipple.  It really does hurt and I am wondering if I should put anything on it or let it just dry up on its own?  I iced it earlier and also used Lanisoh.  I was still BFing right over it all day until my friend suggested that I just use my nipple shield to protect the nipple.  It also seems to be right over a duct, so I am hoping I am not clogged.  I did try and pump earlier and almost nothing came out and I am feeling fairly engorged.  Ugh!  Figures this would happen just when LO was finally getting the hang of latching on.  Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.  TIA!
