I think I did it wrong! (diaper pins)

So I decided to try it "old school" tonight and pin DD's BSRB but for the life of me I couldn't get the pin to pierce the diaper! I was seriously straining to get it through!

What did I do wrong - or is it always this hard?

Not to mention the diaper is ridiculously loose - haha - I had to put a cover over it to hold it on.

    The first few days of CDing- last week- we used prefolds and pins.  They were insanely loose.  I can't wait to try again with a snappi and see the difference.

    Using soap can make pins easier to slide through. We keep our pins stuck in a trial size bar of soap. Or you can run the pin through your hair really quick. Either way lubes it up to help it slide.

    This.  And make sure you're pulling it really taut.  Like, tighter than you'd normally pull it.  It'll loosen up pretty quick.  GL!
