Pee'd myself or Water Break/Leak??

Okay, I have read if you are unsure to smell the liquid. If it's sweet, it's prolly your water breaking/leaking. If it's amoniaish - it's pee. Well, I can't tell. Since I've made so much progress this week being 60% effaced and 1cm dialated as of Tuesday, they told me to expect a lot of fluid to be leaking out. I've peed, and emptied my bladder, but when I stand up - I soak my panties, panty liner and pj's.

I've tried to smell and since my liners are scented, I can't tell. I'm not contracting and feel great - - so I think I'm going to stick it out a bit, don't you think?!?!

Sounds to me like water leaking or breaking, but I would call your doctor if I were you!

I don't know -- this early I think I might go in. . .soaking your pjs doesn't sound right to me AFTER you've already peed.

If it's enough to soak through a panty liner, your panties, AND your pajama's I think that is more than regular discharge. I was dilated 2-3 cm and 50% effaced 1 1/2 weeks ago and I'm not having anything that substantial. I'd call the doctor and have it checked out. Good luck!

At 38w6dk I rolled over after a nap and "peed" myself with about 1/4 cup of fluid. It did not smell like pee, I had no contractions and thought it was a bladder leakage. My DD was born 11 hours later.

I go thru this almost everyday, i have even had it tested to make sure if it wasnt fluid. It's just be me leaking pee... Nice huh? The give away that it was pee for me was I only had wetness after I went to the washroom. Try laying down for a bit and then getting up. If you feel a gush I would get it checked out.
