Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

Hi girls

I'm not sure if I'm having a mc. For a couple weeks before the bleeding started, I had really bad breast pain, which I've never had before. Right now I'm on day 11 of bleeding. DH and I haven't been TTC, but if it happened, it wouldn't be a bad thing. Does it sound like a mc to you girls?

Re: Hi girls

  • Please call your doctor.

    Good luck to you.

  • You really should call a doctor.  There could be a multitude of reasons why you are bleeding for 11 days.  You need to find out if you are pregnant.  If you are not, you need to find out why you are bleeding for so long.

    Good luck.

  • I sincerely hope you aren't having a miscarriage, because it's awful (to put it mildly) both physically and emotionally.  In ways that I'm only beginning to understand.

I have no idea, though, if you're having one. I think you should talk to a Dr.  What you describe isn't like anything I've experienced, and as PPs have said, there are lots of reasons why you might bleed.  Best to you.

  • I'm confused, have you gotten a positive HPT or blood test to say you're actually pregnant?

This.  Even if you haven't taken a HPT yet, you can still do it...a lot of times, if you are/were pregnant, it'll still be positive because the HCG hormone can stay elevated for awhile even after a miscarriage.  BUT just because it's negative, that doesn't mean you're NOT having a miscarriage.

As pps have said, definitely call your doctor if this is unusual for you.  If it IS a miscarriage, they'll want to make sure you've passed all the tissue (anything left behind has the potential to cause serious infection).  And, if it's not, you may want to know what the heck IS going on.

Best of luck to you, & I hope everything turns out okay!
