Wish I could PIP my yard

Ok, so not TTCAL related, again.  But you all should see my yard - it is a total mud pit!  To say the least.

I live in the city, so all of our houses and front yards are steps from the street.  We had a large pipe bust under our neighbors house, and two weeks ago the city tore everything up to fix the damage.  Today, they came to pour the concrete for new sidewalks.  I thought that was strange, on NYE.  Well, they started, made a huge mess and left by noon.  They covered the new sidewalk with ridiculously large tarps and black plastic bags, put up orange cones, threw some old boards on top of said tarps and drove away.  Only after ruining 1/4 of our grass.  The front of our house, and the areas where we park our cars are covered with mud.  Which will invariably come in the house. 

Sigh . . . happy effin New Years!  I know it could be worse, but come on already!
