Re: Child care

  • I know the feeling. I finally got my first call back last year from a Mother's Day Out program. I enrolled my son and he loved it. I started substituting and this year I am teaching the 2-year-old class until the new baby is born. It's right near Perkin's Rowe. First Baptist Church aka Mission on Perkins (right next to Sonic). The hours are Mon-Thurs. 9-2 and closed all school holidays...including summer vacation. It's the most affordable place too and everyone is GREAT. Across the street is The Learning Center which I highly recommend. I put my son there first but wasn't quite ready to send him to full-time daycare and took him out after just a few weeks. If I need full-time care in the future they are the place I would choose. I checked out quite a few places and it was one of my favorites...next to LSU childcare center which you have to wait over a year to get into. Good luck!

  • The Learning Center behind the Fresh Market at Perkins Rowe. We have chosen them and we are uber excited!! Good Luck. Don't go to A Little Ones on Perkins past Seigen. Was not impressed.
