Gained 12 lbs in 1 month!

Yikes! Just went to my Dr appt and I am up 12 lbs since my last appt. I guess having Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays and yummy food all around really affected me lol. My doc didn't seem concerned..everything looks normal, and I don't even look very big, but I feel like a heifer!

I was up 5.5 at this appt this morning... that's in 2 weeks. The most I have ever gained between appointments is 3lbs before this. WTF?!?!?

I did the same thing between 24-28 weeks and I don't have the holidays to blame it on! Oops Embarrassed

That happened to me too, at about the same time in the pregnancy. It's freaky, to be sure. Don't worry, it will all normalize again.

I feel ya! The past two appointments I gained 10lbs at each. My next appointment is next Wednesday and weighing in on my scale this morning I have stayed the same. Woohoo!

this also happened to me when i went to my most recent appt and i had gained 13 lbs in a month and my dr was not concerned too but she did mention not to gain another 13 lbs this month

I gained a whole bunch at that point too. If your doctor isn't concerned don't worry!

Lurking from 0-3.. Just to let you ladies know I gained 40lbs during pregnancy and I gained the most during that 29- 30 week time (at least 10lbs). I am only a week or so out from having my LO and I have already lost 25lbs and my tummy is already looking pretty flat albeit flabbier but I still have time. Hang in there ladies. I was so sick of feeling so huge and having everyone tell me how huge I looked but it is almost over. GL

That happened to me when I was weighed at my 28 week appointment - I had gained 10 pounds between my 20-24 week, then another 5 or 6 between my 24-28 week appointment. Had my 30 week appointment & I somehow lost 4 pounds over Christmas. My DR said some fluctuation is normal & wasn't worried but I feel bigger than I did 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure whats going on. Just trying to make sure I don't gain too much overall since I had a "little extra" to begin with - as my DR said.

I think I love you. I gained NOTHING the 1st 20 weeks, and I have gained a bit more than 40 in the past 18! OMG, talk about scale shock! But I have a ton of swelling and a lot of amniotic fluid so I'm not TOO concerned, and neither is the doc. But your words are encouraging!

i think right around our time is a growth spurt of some sort. I noticed that my belly changed COMPLETELY within the last month, and the nurse weighing me made comment that there was a big jump since last appt (4 weeks ago).. but the doctor says i am on track.
