One that counts down to when I'll have recycling again! Which, BTW, will be in less than three weeks. And you all should appreciate this: I get giddy when I recall how HUGE the recycling bins are in our new neighborhood (as big as the trashcans!)

Re: I think I need a new ticker...
That's funny--I was just thinking the same thing! In our old house, the recycling center was right down the street (our state CHARGES for recycling pick up). Now that we're in the new house, the recycling center isn't as convenient. However, I just found out that our trash pickup will reimburse us if we decide to have curbside recycling. Score! We just need to figure out a workable system in our smaller house.
I love hearing about neighborhoods that have successful recycling programs!

Where I currently live, there isn't a single recycling facility available to me. No one does curbside pick up (in my county anyway, they DO in the next one over)- there is only one trash company. What I *hear* is that there is only one facility in my county and its only for CITY residents, since I don't live within city limits, I can't use it. I've never actually SEEN that facility though- I've searched and searched and never found it or an address for it. The facilities n the county over (where DH works, I went to school and where we conduct almost every aspect of our lives) won't let us take it there because we don't live in it. (They check IDs now)
I'm not sure if we'll have to pay for pick up when we move, but we will pay if we do. I think its free though- EVERY SINGLE house we saw had a trash bin and a recycling bin...
