Yesterday it was 20 degrees and today it's warmer but there is snow on the ground... poor dd, wore yesterday: fitted diaper, woolie, sweater tights, waffle knit onesie, karate pants, jumper dress, wool/cotton cardigan... all under a big puffy coat. Haha! Fun to change the diaper. Same thing today...
Today ds will be wearing an undershirt, long sleeved shirt, wool sweater, 2-layer pants, long socks, scarf hat mittens and coat. We have to go out for dd's ped appointment...
Re: poor dd and ds -- 7, yes 7 layers, or more
just an FYI, all those layers in a car seat are really dangerous. Less bulk is better.
Sorry it's so cold though.
This is exactly what I was thinking. It gets a lot colder here and DS is generally in a short sleeve-onesie and pants with a long sleeve shirt over the top. We add a fleece coat for trips in the car. When it gets really cold I do a long-sleeve onesie instead.
umm...then I'm REALLY bad. K goes out in all weather in an outfit and her travel trench from cj's sewing room. She only wears a snowsuit to play outside in.
Ok, good.
You wouldn't believe the clothes I see some kids in, in their car seats here. It's SO hard to bite my tongue sometimes....I really wish pedi's here would do more to inform parents of safe car seat practices in the winter.
you mean the ones where they are pretty much immobile because they are covered in polyester puffiness?
I only really layer the kids in situations like today's... it gives me a chance to show off the hand-knits
even a little bit.
