Does this make me a bad person (not surprisingly, NER)

So, a friend and I were talking originally (because everyone was going to be OOT today) about doing a joint bday dinner party for DH & herself.  Since it was joint, I volunteered to have it at our house.  Well, now they've decided to stay in town, so we're celebrating his bday tonight.  (in a last minute switch to our house)  I'm hosting (if I actually get people to come) several friends two days before this friend's birthday for a party (another friend's bday who lives out of town but is visiting for her 30th) so I kind of begged off hosting the in town person's party now that I'm doing tonight and it's not going to be a joint party for DH.  Am I terrible?  It's just so much in the space of a week.

  • No, it's a lot of prep work to handle especially since tonight became so last minute.  And if you're not one who enjoys that kind of pressure or the work of it all then there's no fun in being the hostess.
