Someone had asked for this and since I was going to post it yesterday for someone asking about dip ideas I figured I would do it now....didn't feel like getting off my butt to find it yesterday!
3/4 cup sour cream
8oz cream cheese, softened (i usually leave it out when I get home from the grocery)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon of grated fresh onion (i usually don't use this - onion powder instead)
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
3/4 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Old Bay (I usually also add it to the top of the dip after putting it in the oven for a bit)
1/ cup sharp cheddar cheese
1 lb lump blue crab...without shell but I think that is obvious
mix everything except last two ingredients....fold in cheese and crab - gently. Spoon into casserole dish and add Old Bay. Bake at 325 for about 30 minutes.
I usually serve with beer bread of tortilla chips.
Have fun and enjoy! We refridgerate leftovers and reheat a day or two later and it is just as good!
Re: Maryland Crab Dip
Awww man that sounds good. I may have to run out and get some for lunch and that isn't a good thing since I had french fries and pizza yesterday.
