I have never had a sip of anything with alcohol while pregnant. I thought it would be nice to have a glass of champagne tonight. is that ok? anyone else?
No, but I'm not a fan of the bubbly. I would have had a glass of wine at Christmas, but nobody cracked a bottle! Maybe they were trying to be nice and not flaunt it in front of me. Who knows?

I'd have a little glass if we had some. I'll probably take sips of whatever DH makes himself to drink tonight. It's not worth opening a bottle of wine for 1/2 glass for me. But I say go for it if you want. You might end up taking a couple sips and realizing, that's all it took to curb that craving!
I wish! My OB is fine with the occasional glass of alcohol (as am I!), but gestational diabetes is screwing with my plans. Christmas morning, everyone was drinking mimosas, so I had 1/2 glass of champagne with 1/2 glass of light cranberry juice (instead of yummy, sugary OJ), and my blood sugar still jumped higher than I would have liked. Not sure if it was the juice or the alcohol, but I'd rather not test it again!
Alcohol free pregnancy for me too ... haven't had a drop of alcohol since I've been pregnant so we went with organic sparkling apple cider for me this year ... that's the only bubbly that I'll be drinking ... but, I don't think that my doc would object to me having a class of champagne ... just choosing not too ...
I won't be having any alcohol. I haven't taken any medications for anything yet either and I'm trying really hard to keep it that way. I just don't want anything like that exposed to LO yet.
I haven't had anything either, not even a sip. I think I'm waiting until I come home after the baby is born and having a toast with my husband one night then. I doubt I will make it past 10pm tonight anyway.
I saw my doctor yesterday and she told me I was welcome to have a glass of bubbly tonight. This has been an alcohol-free pregnancy for me thus far, and I doubt I'll drink a whole glass... maybe just a few sips, or a few sips of wine. Happy New Year, everyone!
I haven't had any alcohol this pregnancy and don't plan to drink any champagne tonight, but I don't see anything wrong with someone who's past the first tri having a small glass. I'm just choosing not to.
I've had the occasional glass of wine every now and then (after trying every kind of non alcoholic wine in the world to no avail - they all taste terrible). But that worked because I could have my little glass and then DH could finish the bottle throughout the week so it wouldn't spoil. Now that I could potentially go into labor at any time DH has not been drinking (he has to remain absolutely sober while driving) so I hate to open a whole bottle of champagne and throw the rest out. I am planning on heading to the store tonight to see if I can find some good NA alternative.
I've had an occasional glass of wine, (after first tri was over, that is)... and my friends are not judgy so I will be having a glass of champagne at midnight.
I won't because I'm normally the only imbiber in the household. I can't imagine buying a whole bottle to just take a sip, although those mini-bottles are a teensy bit enticing. I think I'll just wait a few weeks and drink a glass in the delivery room.
I am absolutely, positively enjoying a full glass of champagne. My OB has been delivering babies for 25 years and when I told him I was going to Vegas a few weeks ago, without prompting, he told me to enjoy ONE glass of wine for each of the three nights I was there. I really think pg girls are more uptight about the alcohol thing then most OBs. (My OB in Texas before moving to CO was perfectly fine with the occasional glass as well.) I have no qualms whatsoever but it's definitely an individual decision for everyone.
Nope, not worth it to me, plus all it would accomplish would be to give me a headache and make it even harder to stay up until midnight! I'm toasting with Sprite instead--I crave it all the time but stay away from it because of all the sugar, so it's a rare-treat thing for me anyway.

Ditto this. If I even make it to midnight without falling asleep.
