Old Wives Tale Re: my 1 yr old & being pg

in 2nd Trimester

My MIL keeps insisting that my 1 year old is being fussy because Im pg. She said thats how she knew she was pg again - because her other other child became sooooo fussy :P

She?thoroughly?believes this even though I told her my DD is getting all four molars right now. It has nothing to do with her 'knowing' im pg.

Im I just moody or is that annoying?? haha.?

    I don't know about how children react, but I definately believe in the animal thing. With both PG's my dogs will not leave me alone, or even let me out of there sight for that matter!

    Most OWT's drive me bonkers. Everyone assumed I was having a girl because my niece doesn't like for me to hold her....I kept trying to explain to them that I have only seen her twice in her life and the first time she was sleeping! When I held her for the first time not only did she have a poopy diaper but she had no idea who I was so o course she flipped out on me! lol.

    My DH's aunts always tell me ohh your having a boy because my nephews want to be around me. Then some of them will say oh your having a girl because one day they are cranky and don't want to come to me. I personally think it is annoying.

    then the lady at the receptionist desk yesterday when I was checking in for my OB appt tried to look at my stomach to guess what Im having ... really lady?!?! really?

    I dont even have a stomach yet and you think you know what a boy would look like vs a girl?? come on.?

    I've heard this also from a lot of old timers.  Just listen and say something like "oh ok thanks" and then start talking about something else.  I've come to realize that even though ils can be super annoying and invasive, if they mean well, ya gotta take the good with the bad.  You can pick your friends, but you can't pick your family.  This is an old wivestail though.
