Question about POAS

So, I was posting yesterday that I was spotting. I decided to POAS today just because we are going out with my parents and there will be drinks involved. I walked away because I thought that it would be negative but when I went back I saw a very faint pink line that did not go all the way across the strip. It could be an evaporation line due to me not standing over it for the alotted time. I got rid of the urine I used for the test before reading the results. Should I test later on today with more urine or wait until tommorow? I hate getting my hopes up! I am using the online cheapies from early pregancy tests. Any input would be appreciated......even to flame me for testing way too early.

    I just don't even know what to say.  You tested at 5 DPO and you think your got a faint +.  

    My head is telling me to tell you to wait a couple days and test, but the rest of me is jumping on you to test again first thing tomorrow morning.

    I think you are really early so I would say it was an evap line. That being said if it was me I would have to take another one today. It would make me crazy.

    i think it is way too soon to test, but then i agree with other pp, if you think you got a faint line, which is crazy early, i would test again.  do you think you ovulated when you did or could you have ovulated earlier??

    At 6 dpo I would think it is mostly likely an evap, especially if it didn't go all the way across the strip

    Looks like you have a pretty short luteal phase from your previous chart...about 10 days?  I would maybe test again tomorrow, but don't let it get your hopes down if it's negative...it might just be too early.  And this time watch it so you know what's going on!!!  Smile

     I know it sounds very stupid for me to have tested. I am somewhere between DPO 6 and 8 (FF keeps moving my date of ovulation). The ONLY reason I tested was due to spotting yesterday and planing on drinking tonight. I know it had nothing to do with my MC but I drank very heavily a few days before I got my BFP last time and would hate to repeat the same mistake.

    sounds like maybe a defective test if it didn't go all the way across the strip.  i'd test again later on today if your worried about drinking tonight. 

    i felt much better after i tested this am b/c now i don't feel guilty about drinking tonight.  of course i'll still watch what i drink but i got a bfn so bottoms up and i'm still early, only 9dpo.

    I would have a drink or 3 tonight and not worry about it. It is way too early. I plan to have some champagne and a mixed drink or 2 at the neighbors and at dinner. I'm supposed to test next week and I'm going to be strong. Be strong with me!

    I wouldn't drink much of anything and hold your urine for a couple hours to get it concentrated and try again this afternoon...

    Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I know I am type A, so I will most likely test this afternoon and get a BFN and feel much better about drinking tonight.

    Oh, and I didn't mean I wouldn't drink alcohol, I meant I wouldn't drink too much liquid before you POAS again to get it concentrated.
