My Mom's joke

My Mom called yesterday just to tell me this joke:

3 years ago, it was the chinese year of the bird, and we had the avian flu,

2 years ago year of the horse, and we had equine flu,

this past year was year of the pig, and so swine flu.

Isn't 2010 year of the ***?

haha, no idea if the animals are correct, but hilarious nonetheless.

    I think I missed the punch line...what is the animal in 2010? Am I having a pg brain moment and just not understanding?

    a *** is a chicken, right?  or a rooster?  I think it was funny because that is also another name for a male body part.  We are kind of perverse in my family - sorry if no one got this!  I was beginning to wonder since no one was saying anything.... LOL Oh, well.  I will leave it to the comedians!
