2nd+ time moms who got the flu shot with their 1st child...

Please put my mind at ease. I opted to get the flu shot, and I got the one with thimerosal in it because they had no idea when thimerosal-free ones would be available.

I did plenty of research, and decided that the pros of getting it outweighed the potential cons. Now I am having a panic attack (I am a worrier by nature) that I have given my child autism, asthma, etc...

If you got the flu shot with thimerosal and had a healthy baby, please respond. Hearing from real moms rather than reading research would be REALLY helpful for me right now.

With DS I had the flu shot and I am assuming it had thermosol in it. I didn't know then that I should ask for a free version and that was what was given to me. He is perfect!! This time I know for sure I got a free version of flu shot but think that the H1N1 shot had preservative in it...Take a deep breath!! You are actually protecting your baby

Don't give it a second thought.
