For those of you buying the Graco Lauren Crib...

Are you getting it with or without the dropside?  Walmart has both available - the dropside is about $30 cheaper.  I think I'm gonna go with the fixed side, just cuz I don't think I'll be using the dropsite anyway and because of all the recent recalls, I don't think it's worth the risk.

Also, for those of you who got it in "Espresso" - is it a dark brown, or does it have a reddish tint to it?

    I'm getting it in white.  I did see all 4 colors available at BRU on the floor the other day...you might want to check it out there in person.  Also, I know Tgt had another Graco crib on display in Espresso, so you might be able to look there, too. 

    I am going with fixed side (Tgt only has it is fixed side and it is $159.99).  Drop side is making me nervous these days...

    Hmmmm...I didn't realize they had both.  I'm glad you posted this.  I guess the one I was looking at for $120 is the dropside.  I need to look into this now.  Of course, the dropsides can be fixed pretty easily.

    We have it. It is a dark brown, not reddish at all IMO.  We chose the fixed side just b/c hubby thought it was so much sturdier.

    I'm getting it in Walnut, fixed side.

    we got the fixed side. i don't think i'd ever use the dropside anyway, plus the recent recalls made me definately not want it.

    the espresso is really nice - not reddish like some of the other brands.

    BRU and Target only sell the fixed side ... and that's what we've got. I really like it.
