All this baby name talk and jr/II reminded me of how we referred to our baby while I was pregnant. We called her "Steffie Jr" long before we knew she was she and then it really just stuck once we discovered her gender. What was your baby's nickname?
ETA: It was actually hard to start calling him by his name once he came. For awhile, I felt terrible, because whenever I referred to him, it was "DH, can you go get the baby," or "The baby needs changing." It was surprisingly difficult to get used to using his actual name!

This one is 'the girl' or 'alien'. DS was 'alien' or 'parasite' because of how crappy I felt the entire pg. Obviously DS has much sweeter nicknames now for the most part. She will too once she arrives I'm sure.
i'm hoping we agree on a definite boy's name before the u/s because so far we are only 100% on the girl's name.
That's how we were with DS, but reversed - we were 100% with a boys name, never really much discussion, and we had so many choices and were still coming up w/ girl's names. My neighbor said we 'knew' it was a boy and thats why that happened.

Interesting... We had tons of girl names thought out, but we forced ourselves to think of boy names so we had options. And it's a boy!
LO's nickname is Lovebug. Yeah, he's a boy, but it's what I started calling him and it stuck. We won't decide on a name until we meet him, so Lovebug it is!
Now he's usually referred to as Max, but he's been called Peanut, Embryo, Fetus, Parasite, Battery, Babby (google "how is babby formed"), or just The Baby.

just 'baby'.

We called DS "baby bean" until we knew his gender. Then, DH started calling him Rocket and it stuck for awhile, even after he was born.
We called DD #2 all along. We still call her #2 sometimes, poor thing.
DD was "Sonny" until my big u/s. Everyone (but me) was convinced she was a boy.
This baby is just "the baby" or "poor nameless zygote". I guess in a few days he/she can be "poor nameless embryo". lol

#2 has been Bug or the Boy 2 since we call Declan "the Boy".
Tales of the Wife
Baby or Little One. When talking to DH about him I would sometimes say your child.
Now that we know gender, we refer to him by name to each other. He's still baby to everyone else since we haven't shared the name.
