Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Is your LO staying up later than usual tonight?

I am going to try and make it to midnight and will probably let DD stay up until she falls asleep on her own (which will prob be about 9 or 10). What will you be doing?

  • The kids will be up as late as they can last.  Bedtime is usually 7:30 and we aren't even leaving for our party until 8pm.

  • Yup. We're taking our son along to a kid-friendly party that doesn't start until 7:30.  W're not super strict about his bedtime anyway, so it's no big deal. He's been up until 9pm most nights over the holidays.
  • Oh my goodness no.  But he's a nut and would probably only make it to 7pm anyway, the rockstar that he is.  If we were going somewhere, it might be different, but since we are not, he'll go to bed as usual.
  • nope.  i'm sure my mom will put her to bed per usual since dd is spending the night with my parents.

  • A little bit. DS usually is in bed by 7 and we're going to a party at my IL's that doesn't begin until 7. We're only staying for an hour or so, but it will probably be about 9 when he gets to bed.

  • PD is staying at MILS tonight while I get drunk with a dolphin on my head. We are going to a mad hatter party tonight. I think it is going to be one of "those" nights judging by the size of the Specs bag on my counter.
  • No. We are lame and staying in, so he'll be in bed at the usual time. I highly doubt I'll make it to midnight since I'm so tired these days.

  • Hell, I'm not staying up late tonight! DS has a cold and DD is starting to get it too, so we plan on leaving pretty early. On xmas eve they stayed up late and DS took a week to get back to sttn. I'm all set with that repeating.
  • We're just going to see how it goes.  We are having 2 couples over to our house and they probably won't arrive until 7ish, her usual bedtime.  I'd like to keep her up to greet everyone and after that, who knows...
  • no.  I don't think she'll care about making it a late night!  She'll be going to bed at her normal time.

I'm so jealous! Have a great time, and drink one (or three) for me! :)

  • Probably a little bit but not until midnight.  We're hanging out with friends and we all have a daughter under the age of 3 so when they start getting tired and grumpy we'll head home.
  • oh HELL no
  • We are going over to BIL's for a bit, 6:30- 8:30 or so. DS usually goes to bed around 7:30, so we are taking him in his jammies and hoping he passes out on the way home.

  • nope.  Max is staying at my inlaws and we're going to our friend's house to party & crash for the night.  and then we're running a 5k tomorrow to start the year off right!
  • We're staying home, so I don't imagine that DS will last much longer than normal. He's a party animal just like his parents!

  • We are staying home. DS will be going to bed at his usual time.
