Re: Help me with my back pain..
I go to Khols or Macys and sit in their massage chairs for about five minutes. They are the one to try out before you buy (but they are expensive so I can not right now justify buying one). It massages my back for me and it helps a lot.
Alternate ice and heat might work other than that you will have to suck it up until you get to the chiropractor. Don't expect to feel 100% after one treatment and you may have to go back 2-3 times a week for a few weeks, but trust me, it works!
Wow, sorry you're hurting. Chiropractors are not all the same, so if this one doesn't work out go find another one! I love mine and it's worth every penny.
Tylenol never helped me. I bought a $10 body pillow from Target and usually sleep on my side with the top of the pillow under my stomach (baby moves a lot so this helps "neutralize" it some) and a small pillow behind my back. Every time i get up to use the bathroom i switch pillows and sleep on the opposite side. If i must lay on my back i put a pillow under one side so i'm not flat.
Other things that might help could be rice in a sock (heated or cooled), DH massage, heating pad, one of those vibrating chairs in the mall, etc. Changing positions a lot helps me. I can't exercise much but i do what i can and that seems to help too.
Good luck!
Stretching works for me (if you aren't in too much pain). Google stretches for back pain. DH has chronic back pain stemming for car accidents in his teens and FWIW, chiropractors made his pain worse.
It's too bad you can't take advil, it would help with any swelling.
Hope you feel better soon!
